HI all

on my first decent ridout on my recently acquired zx10r, there seems to be a recurring whistling sound coming from the fuel tank when the engine is off. it lasts around 3-5 seconds, doesnt get louder, is constant. it sounds like air escaping from somewhere?

does anyone know what this is please?

thank you

My '08 ZX-10 and my '99 ZRX 1100 both do-did- it. I finally removed the ZRX cap and disassembled it to rectify the vent whistle. I pulled two very small red rubber one way flappers out of the cap and killed the whistle. Haven't examined the ZX-10 cap as the whistling is nowhere near as obnoxious on the 10. Owned lots of bikes and brands- Kawasakis are the only ones that exhibit this trait.
