Unplug both connectors from ECU and then take some tweezers and gently pull on every single wire until you fin the one(s) that are loose in the plug, then push them in good until they latch. Gen 3 are notorious for this.
  2. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
Your probably going to have to fabricate something then.
  3. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
Another thing I have wanted to do but have lost interest since I started taking Gunsmithing classes was to work on the internals of the stock horn button to take up some of the slack so it takes less push to engage. Never GOT A ROUND TUIT!,......…......yet. LOVE my air shifter.
  4. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
Like Spaz said for anyone reading this, very important if using N20 or C02 to set up so liquid does NOT go into the system, just the opposite of what you want if spraying your motor with nitrous. These 2 gases can give you hundreds if not 1000's of shifts off a single bottle and no drop in...
  5. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
Google "DME air shifter mounts". Not sure what year your looking for. Looks like a Gen 1 in your avatar, but maybe its for a Gen 4-5? You should be able to find a Gen 4-5 direct bolt on. No one made one for my Gen 3, so I bought a ZX14 mount, shortened it, rethreaded it from 8m to 10mm and...

    100% agree, total garbage.
  7. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
When Woolich came out with their quick shifter several years ago, I tried many times Fuel kill only, ignition kill only and both. To me there was a very noticeable difference between the 3. Fuel Kill was by far smoother for my application. I agree with GAZ, fuel kill is all I use now on my Gen 3...
  8. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
Another issue with air shifters is a good kill box should have a delay built in. When you push the button their is a delay from the time the system pressurizes and the shifter starts to move BEFORE you want the fuel kill to activate. Some kill boxes give you 2 delays to compensate for that...
  9. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
The bracket for the engine mount is a ZX14 mount I bought somewhere. It had 2 issues. It was too long, so I shortened it, and it was threaded 8mm. Strangely enough the Gen 3 upper rear engine mount on ZX10 is 10mm. So I tapped and threaded it for a 10mm steel insert I got at Ace Hardware, now...

Pic of my setup using Woolich strain gauge FUEL KILL only.

    I agree with this 100%
  12. Airshifter question

    Performance and Tech
I have an air shifter on my Gen 3. I designed my own setup. NO drilling in the frame, no hacking and cutting of wires, everything is plug and play. I am also using Woolich. I have tried fuel kill, ignition kill, and both. I like fuel kill best. Here is a video. I put my strain gauge directly...

Since some type of site upgrade, there is no longer an option to edit or delete posts, why?

  16. Broken Sprint

    The ZX-10R
Ha Ha, here ya go, here is the problem. According to Crock Davidson at Crocks Performance, Sprint had a bad run of G3 filters, supposedly they redesigned them to fit better so they stopped breaking chunks off. See video below.
  17. Broken Sprint

    The ZX-10R
Like Lanister said, doesn't look like its the right filter for the bike, profile of filter in first pic doesn't match up to airbox.
  18. Broken Sprint

    The ZX-10R
Sprint air filters are garbage man, Crocks Davidson pushes that crap. Hope your engine isn't damaged.

You F#CKED UP, put it back the way it was.
  20. Gen 3: 2008-2010 Fuel Injector duty cycle and %fueling

    Performance and Tech
On Gen 3 Injector balance is a 50 / 50 split above 10K at 100% TPS. I just double checked that in the Woolich software.
