(2/2) Jason's motor ended up dropping a valve which got him the DNF. All we can think of was the rear gearing; Jason made the call to switch it after qualifying. So I think what happened, is after the last turn before the start/stop straight, when he'd get in the draft his speeds picked up and that caused the gearing to top out the tach which lead to valve float and ultimately the valve drop. When I looked at the data logs, that kind of corroborates it... Kind of a crappy way to end such a promising weekend. We would've been on the podium for sure. Would've been nice to have two riders up there as we're also sponsoring Geoff May.
