Bringing an old post back to life here so my apologies, but is this confirmed to be the case?
Was looking at going the CBR route for my gen1, but this is tempting.

I wonder how these compare to the cbr monos?

blueboyadams zx14 calipers go right on with no problem at all....and they work marvelously...got mine off ebay for 160 for the pair. It transformed the bike from a go go go with a lil whoa whoa whoa to go go go AND whoa whoa whoa!

You may be right. From my short research it seems that the spacing is 108mm for Kawi and 130mm for Yamaha.

I think the 2012 R1 uses larger rotors than gen 1. You may want to double check that.

realestateguy I'm looking at some R1 calipers and notice there are postings for R1 D2 and R1 D3 calipers. What is the difference and what does the "D" designate?
