Ok I have been slowly but surely changing my oem hardware on my 2012 10r and my aim is to get this bike as skinny as I can and money that I can throw at it to make this happen, quick run down my bike has full Ohlins,ARGp2r and 200mm can, shorai batt,Brembo fronts you get the picture!last time it was on the scales it came in at 180 kg with nearly a full tank and sorry Dymag CF rims, since that way in I have changed petrol cap, rear sprocket to alloy,Brembo gp4rx and a lot of oem nuts and bolts to ti pro bolt race spec and other shaped bolts, some will say I'm silly spending so much and ti for not much gain but it's my hobby and I enjoy it.I am only going to do this quickly as of now but to let you no how far I have gone with TI not alloy fittings even the bolts that hold the rear plastics under solo seat cowl and number plate bolts and nuts are TI,In cost for Probolt TI around $1600 Aus so far but as I said this is just a update,so My wife just surprised me with some digital scales so I now can get some ideas on my weight lost so far(I no Ti is around half that of steel hardware.I am still slowly getting there with TI and once I get a chance(arm in a cast) will get the bike back on the scales but I no one thing my bike will be very very close if not less than the current 2013 SUPERbike world champions ZX10R I think lol

Yes non abs helps by about 10lb abs model has larger battery etc. You can use home scales just calibrate them first. Two scale and 3 scale methods are identical weight I have pics up close of both ways

I found replacing the bigger components first. You can fit lots of little ti bolts but you will only save 45% of not alot. I made a ti top shock mount and saved 50% of a heavy bracket in 1 go. If you go for bolts then replace the biggest ones first. Id do the rear linkage bolts and front caliper bolts as they are all chunky bokts. Ti rear wheel nut etc...

Ditch the passenger pegs and replace the exhaust hanger with a lightweight one.

Just to add to my last comment. Somewhere in this topic i did weigh the mirrors and side stand. Both are heavy items and are worth replacing or removing.
I like peter used to be obsessed with trying to loose weight on the zx10r because the bike used to feel like it needed less weight.
The funny thing is i just bought a 2017 r1 and its got so much grunt and torque that weight doesnt become a factor, it just pulls effortlessly.
I actually get arm ache trying to hang on with the torque which is something ive never experienced before.
The zx10r weight isnt really its issue in my opinion its more the lack of torque. Id work on that area if i bought another one

Tell us a little more about the radiator please. I've always liked the look additional radiator that extends all the way down to the bottom but wasn't sure it was a practical upgrade for me seeing as how my area only hits 34° once a year. Was this a practical upgrade for you due to you local temperature extremes? I'm a little surprised at your addition since it will add a lot of weight.

Cheers

Ok just some info in regards to fitting the additional Radiator!I had to modify the bottom of each side of the fairing pieces so it would fit!I used a dremel with a cutting wheel so the very bottom part of the a/m Radiator sat freely! No biggy as you don't see this part anyway

Hi guys, well the Lightech adjusters sure enhance the rear end!Lanister you mentioned maybe machining the Probolt Titanium Axle nut but looking at it there is a lot of material to machine off!4-5mm so the pin can clip onto the Axle at a guess,I don't think the Probolt nut could handle that much machining but I have been wrong before!Im just going to buy a Titanium nut from another supplier I've used before in the U.K!that nut is not near as wide as the Probolt nut and only $20!the R clip I'm using will stop the nut I'm buying coming the Axle and will give me peace of mind!I also added black Titanium hardware instead of the blue on my rear sets
