I installed my new clutch Wednesday, put the bike on the trailer, and went to the 1/4 mile. It was very cold plus my back tire is still a stock bt-016 with 11k miles on it so traction was an issue.

My 1st two runs (not shown) were used to break in the clutch so they were very easy launches and just rolling into the throttle each gear.

My 3rd run I got a was a new pb for me and the bike felt great other than the minor traction issues after the 1/8th.

4th run was super sketchy as there was absolutely zero traction. A car had broke before my run and the track was being cleaned for a while before anything ran. There just wasn't any heat in the track and I should have known. New pb 60' though...

5th and 6th runs were finally into the 9's. I knew at the end of the 5th run that it was good. I just had the feeling. 6th run backed it up and actually went quicker so I was happy.

All in all, I know I still need the testicle mod so I am able to get my 60' times down first and foremost. I'm gaining more and more confidence with the bike being lowered and slightly stretched though. It's still coming up in 1st, but not nearly as bad as before.

Things I need to work on:
1. Gain more confidence in launching the bike.
2. Learn how to get my foot back on the shifter quicker. I hit the limiter in 1st twice because I couldn't get my foot back up. I'm going to lower the stock rearsets down to their "low" mounting holes and see if that helps.
3. Install a new back tire (already in the garage) for better traction after the 1/8th.

I forgot my gopro so no video :(

The cycle concepts drag pack with the heavy duty springs. I replaced all frictiona and steels along with 6 springs. I have another 3 springs to put in that are even heavier for when the nitrous goes on.

Congrats bro!

You'll get better with practice I'm sure, but fwiw if you don't have a QS installed yet, look at one with a thumb shifter so you don't have to worry so much about getting your foot in place to shift before reaching the limiter... And you can worry about other things ;)
I have an RL quickshifter on my foot. A thumb shifter would be soooo much better. I'm thinking about running it off the nitrous once that goes on. Unless there is an electronic one?

Hell yeah congrats man!!!! That thing is gonna fly once you get your 60's down!
I'm hoping so. I weighed myself at 141 lbs fully geared including my helmet so I should be a strong contender once my balls grow.

NICE!! Congrats!
Thank you. You've gotta come out once.

Good stuff man!
The 4th gen is so strong, i really want to get into the 9's this season.

What is the setup you are running?

You should be able to do it quite easily.

I have a graves full system, wire mod, pcv with an Internet map (that's pretty far off by watching my wideband), RL quickshifter, strapped, lowered 1.5" and stretched about 5" (more than likely its closer to 4").
Congrats man, that's awesome.

141lbs! Damn that's 50 less than me, and you're trapping 150mph! Here I was hoping to hit over 150mph this year, but it doesn't look so good now lmao!
You can do it. I've went 152 a few times and I think the only reason I wasn't hitting 150 this time was bc of tire spin. My traction bar was lighting up every once in a while after the 1/8th mile. I am, however, on stock bt016's with 11k miles on them though. I was having to do a John force style burnout just to get enough heat into them so I didn't spin in 1st.

^Well if I don't hit 150mph, I guess I will have to go with the Jenny Craig mod lol.

 I did this last year and have been able to maintain it so far. Went from 190lbs to 160... I feel better and its easier to fit into my clothes.. Only SHI$#y part is that my leather pants look like I crapped in them now!!!:dontknow:

Well I thought it had 11k, but it has less. I checked the mileage tonight while adjusting my clock and the bike has 10,480 miles currently. I always keep an eye on my pressures, i'm light weight, and I hardly ever do burnouts. I could probably get another 500 or so miles out of this tire just for street duty, but it's at the wear bars now and the traction just isn't there.
