Your time is dependent on many factors...can you launch/ride? What are your 60's like? What's the track like? Temp/humidity? etc etc etc. Just go out and give it a go. I don't know what you can expect to trap right off hand.

if youve never run this bike, im gonna guess 6.50-6.60's right off the bat. with some practice you should be down in the high 30's- low 40's
:spit:

Really?....I guess what your saying is you know he dragged raced all his life so should be able to jump on a Short Wheel Base with 150+hp bike weighing about 400lbs and 200lb Rider... PURE STOCK and do 6.5s right off the "BAT" ....we will see said the blind man I am guessing NOT......seat time

Maybe he has drag raced all his life? do i know that? no but neither do you so you cant automatically assume he cant ride. 50's-60's maybe a bit generous but until he posts up some slips NOBODY will have a concrete answer. So instead of bashing on someones reply maybe try throwing in some useful insight yourself or even a guess of your own? :dontknow:

guys, i run my 1/4 gearing on the road (because i can't be arsed to change it) and i find it means when i lower it for the strip it seems a bit tamer. i run 15/41 and it pulls 120.72 in the 1/8th with a 6.201.

how on earth do you know what you're launching at? i have no idea, i'm far too busy watching the track ahead!!

i weigh 180 without any gear, need to lose some weight!

i only run the engine when needed, push it in the lanes in first with the clutch in and lean it to the right when stopped to try and lubricate the plates a bit. i'll have to try taking the cap off to help it cool down more. i run 2 washers under each clutch spring to increase the pressure as i'm on a tight budget!!!

after a few hundred passes and 3 clutches(like me:badteeth:) it will become second nature to you and some people will think youre insane to leave WOT on a SWB bike.

ive now put barnett 73lb clutch springs in mine and started cooling it off with a fan in between rounds. cooling the clutch off has helped me become more consistent and im sure will extend clutch life. the heavier springs made a big difference as the first pass with them i had a 1.591 60'.

The trick I use came from Ruthless Racing...he takes the Oil Cap off between runs to cool the Clutches....just remember to put it back on when called to race. :badteeth::thumbsup:
