hi there neverendingmods! I saw a thread where you mentioned your stator going out, did your instrument panel disapeer first and then the battery go dead ? that's what mine did recently. I just got a new battery and that didn't fix it....

Yes, I bought awesome EBC XC 310mm rotors. They bolt right on. You MUST use 310mm rotors for the gen3 calipers. You will wind up with the best brakes. I recommend Vesrah pads. Pricey but worth it. EBC pads suck. Vesrah pads rock. You will have 1 finger braking using gen3 calipers, 310 EBC XC rotors and vesrah pads.

hey man, I was reading a thread about the calipers on the gen 2 models, I just purchased a set of gen 3 calipers off ebay for $75, smokin deal since I was set to buy Brembos for $1500, saves me $ for a nice rear shock!!! My question to you is this, as you mentioned the gen 3 had 310mm rotors and the gen 2 has 300, with the gen 3 calipers do you know If i can purchase 310mm for my gen 2 with no other mods?

Ok Maybe in a month or so Ill try.... Would it make sense to just do a conversion kit at that time.... Like a 520 with the down front and increased rear? Plus I wont attempt a standing burnout let alone a rolling.... Dont wanna drop this baby

Going up 2 in the rear makes a big improvement and with the reflas you are getting you will still see over 170mph.
I am -1/+5 sprockets. does rolling burnouts at 40mph. I started just -1 front, then went -1/+2 and LOVED that. Best all around gearing. Wakes bike up A lot.

LOL Appreciate your knowledge... Thanks Pal.... Countersprocket on this morning. Paid an hours labor (85$)... but well worth it. This Gen 4 is getting sharper and sharper. Do you have extra teeth in the rear? Is this a logical next step in a short amount of time? Does it kick ass to go up two back there? Ok Im gonna look into the pipercross Race....

The block off plates eliminate the pops and flames/bangs when you are decelerating. Primarily below 5k rpm that's when the electronic valve is opened by ECU and sends air from the head into airbox for emissions purposes only. Reburns exhaust gases. Think of it like a EGR valve in a car, that is what it is. That air sent into airbox causes pops and flames and really sounds like shit it pops so frequently. If you KEEP the cat on bike, it will be less noticeable but we all know the cat robs a couple hosepower and weighs a lot.
A tuner must do block off or unhook the hose to properly tune a bike and a DynoJet PCV with auto tune MUST have the block off done too or readings are incorrect because of the extra air being given to air box at random times. There is a way to do it free and are threads on here showing how. But Gen3 and Gen4 throw a code if the electronic valve is removed. That's why I said to have Guhl turn off that code in ECU and they can. So, do block off's or the free mod equivalent(what I did but not as clean/block off remove all hoses and free mod doesn't).

Send UCU to GUHL and yes, get a race air filter...PiperCross flows better than BMC but BMC race filter is cheaper. PiperCross race is a Foam filter and very EASY to clean and reuse. I love mine and mine is 4 yrs old and still looks like its new after many cleanings. Make sure you tell Guhl that you have a Race air filter so they make the needed corrections in ECU, get all restrictions eliminated like top speed, get revs extended, timing added, secondaries to open faster, get the exhaust servo FI light turned off and get the smog pump FI light turned off cause you want to eliminate the smog pump or it will pop like crazy on deceleration.
The race air filter from pipercross has been shown to give 5whp. A member showed dyno runs with that filter and it made same power as NO airfilter run did and it made 3whp more than the BMC race filter. All runs same day, same dyno and same bike(Gen4 when it first came out) with tuner making changes for each filter and even NO filter. The PiperCross RACE filter flows THAT WELL and sounds awesome..has a mean howl at WOT.
I don't mind answering your questions man. Ask away.

Thanks Pal... More questions cause I dont think you mind helping out. Ok so Tomorrow morning Im installing the 16 tooth front sprocket. Then Im pulling the Ecu. I may have asked you this already but should I be buying a race air filter such as a BMC? Is it worth it? Second question is, should I send the ECU to Guhl's or should I send to Ecu Unleashed? Either one better for my 2011? Finally what is the deal with Block Off Plates? I have no clue what they are or do but I see lots of guys install them. OK for now Thanks Buddy......
