Blue Book is about 6k.

Factoring in needing a new rear (and probably a new front if it is still the stock one), plus the time of the year, 5500 is about right. On the top end of things.

Go on your local Craigslist section and search for other 06-07 ZX10r's. See what they are asking.

Personally I'd say $5k maybe $5.5k if it were spring or summer. You can get a gen 3 for around $6k so....

Ask a least 7K,
basic rule of thumb from a year of research.
2004-4k, 2005-5k, 2006-6k, 2007-7k, -2008-7.5k, 2009- 8k.. miles is the next thing to look at. .you are very very low so top doller
Ps Listen to zdawg! you will make more selling in the spring! more then enough to cover storage costs!

Here is my spread sheet if you want to take a look, I keep it set to my area but prices don't change much from one area to the next. Ps. sheet has a few macros you don't need them to see everything so disable, if you want to add or sort by your criteria you will need to enable the macros.

Bikes for sale in my area over the past year, that were good deals! ignored high prices.. still over 200 bikes on the list and counting!

2009 $8k?

Yea a ton of people post gen 3's for $8k, but guess what, they are there month after month. Either that or they end up coming down on the price.

I was looking for a gen 3 in the beginning of the summer and saw a bunch of people list them for $7-8k I didn't even consider them. Well there were none in my area so I started emailing them with my offer and a couple were willing to come way down on the price. However at the same time I made a deal with someone on zx10r.net and got a gen 3 (2009) for around $6k.

Just take a look in the classifieds.

Price varies on condition...

If they sold for 4300 that's what it's worth...

I got $8500 from ins company when I totaled my bike...
