2005 ZX-10R Luling, TX
So as some of you know, my back got backed into last semester and the insurance decided to just cut me a check for some of the damages. Nothing major was damaged and the only thing that remains damaged is a dent in the tank and some cracks and scratches with the body. I have since moved to a tiny town to student teach and have absolutely no time to ride and don't foresee having much time in the near future. Since that is the case, I'm considering selling it just so I can put the money elsewhere for now. The list of aftermarket parts includes:
Carrozzerria Forged Aluminum Wheels w/ a brand new Q3 on front.
Vortex Rearsets (one is slightly bent)
Secondary butterflies removed
Full Leo Exhaust (small dent and few scuffs from knock over)
"Custom" headlight setup (cut race fairing but was damaged in knock over)
1/4 turn fuel cap
08 Swingarm swap
Nissin ZX14 front calipers w/ stainless lines
I'm sure there are other things I'm leaving out, but I'll attach a picture of it before it was knocked over. It runs like a champ, gauge reads approximately 28k but has had sprocket change since 12k. I had never noticed but the insurance agent pointed it out when she completed the claim, the vin matches the title but it looks like the vin was poorly applied to the frame. I haven't worried about it because the vin comes up clean and the title has been in my name for about 3 years now. I believe I still have the copy of my bill of sale when I bought it and can try and dig that up if you'd like.
Like I said, bike is far from perfect but it's a nice ride and has tons of power. If you want a flawless street bike with a bunch of aftermarket parts, replace the tank and fix the plastics. If you want a track bike, this one could be a great candidate. I'd consider parting out and am aware that I could probably get more for it that way, but I don't even have the time to ride let alone the time to disassemble and part out.
Would be looking for $4900, does this seem like a fair deal or is there any interest?
