Not sure how much time you've done but 3 years seems like pretty long bid to me.

28 days, and it felt like 3 years....in his case, "ONLY" sort-of did fit because it could have been 20. Jesus, I cant even imagine. Federal time, so you do every day you were sentenced to. No subtract time for"good behavior"

I kind of lost track of him after his prison stay. He was a super nice guy who was horribly embarrassed by what he did, obviously.

I thought the busllshit part was how the government watched him break the law for so long before they did anything. Instead of arresting him when he owned 100k, they waited until he owned 2.3 million. At that point, most of us will never pay all that back.

Im not saying what he did was acceptable, or anything like that, but how do you prove what you did 7 years ago was legal, or illegal?

he was pretty much forced to do, and agree to anything the govt said because the prison time (and money owned) just kept getting higher, and higher the more he fought back.

I hope Dan does not go through the same thing.

My thinking is this, if you live in a country and you don't like the laws.... try to change them, change states or country BUT there is no valid reason to cheat on the taxes.

I live is VERY disorganised country, there are 3 things that work

Dont hit your wife

dont molest a child

Pay your taxes.

In mother usa you get less time in prison for molesting a child than you do for not paying taxes.

No worries, my mother is full blood cherokee so it doesnt get much more minority than that, this was a really sore subject for me when i got out of the Marine Corps 12 years ago as a young man looking for work, my first job paid 45k a year and I thought i was living high on the hog, I soon realized I wasnt, ate cheap, drove cheap, lived cheap and still went check to check because most my money (taxes) went to someone that was living better than me. Its not tailored to the color of ones skin or back ground, its tailored to lazy under acheivers.
