Having spent as much as I did on a bike like the $1000RR and have them deny the claim like that with that few miles while it was still under warranty is essentially claiming they know there bike is shit and not designed to last long; it says all I need to know.

That said, it was a fun, nice looking bike while it lasted.
The biggest disadvantage to the GSXR is the vibration is higher. This is easily cured with bar ends and grips. I think they're the most underrated new bike going right now <----From just another guy on the internet

Nice, thanks for sharing that! What all did you have to do to get that many miles? New motor/tranny or anything major?

i love the new gixxer but here it actually costs more than the zx10r (just slightly), and you gotta fix the brakes.... would be nice if it came with TI headers and stainless lines too.

I'm on a 2017 GSX-R1000 and it's about the same width as my 675 (which oddly enough had a low compression problem too...Euro bikes - but this didn't develop until after 45K miles).

Dang! How did you blow the engine? I have a 2017 zx10r lol

I bought the 2017 brand new about 2 or 3 months ago fro $9900 plus tax, title, fees!

But you are right, I did have to replace those crappy rubber/plastic brake lines!

No clue what so ever. it was beyond infuriating that the manufacturer - BMW - claimed it was normal wear as there wasn't a "single point of failure", just engine wear. The bike did 99% of those miles on the highway at very reasonable speeds.

I replaced it with the 2018 ZX10R and that was just foolishness that ruined that bike - I can only blame myself there.
