Jonathan Rea Signs On With Kawasaki For Another Two Years

As MotoGP teams and riders continue to shuffle around, WorldSBK’s Jonathan Rea and KRT Kawasaki are both more than happy to continue their partnership and journey together through 2020.

Jonathan Rea has signed a new contract with Kawasaki to remain in the WorldSBK championship as an official KRT rider for two more years. This is an agreement that seals the commitment of both the three-time World Champion and the most successful WorldSBK manufacturer of recent years to each other – and to WorldSBK racing.

I sorta hoped Rea would get a MotoGP ride, but at best he might get a guest ride on one, hopefully a top satellite team. He's one of the best riders I can remember and a total class act. Looking forward to his new book-

I'm glad he's is staying in wsbk. He can go down as the most successful wsbk rider ever or add his name to the list of amazing riders that went to moto gp and ended their careers with only glimpses of success. Can't wait to watch him and Bautista go at it. He and that v4r is going to be hard to beat.
