Taking My 2005 ZX10R to the strip

Took My ZX10R to the strip to try to drag it for the first time...

Bike: 2005 ZX10R, Not lowered or straped down
Mods: Akra slip-on, K&N, 1up/1 down gearing, 180 tire, speedo healer

Results: 10.74 Quarter Mile
MPH: Around 137 mph
Was lanching the bike at 7,000 RPM
Reving it to redline which I think put me up in wheelies and slowed my time

Any tips would be helpful...

Couple Questions:

I just got my hands on some lowering links... 1 1/2 inches - or 3" how low should I go..??

Tire pressure for the strip??

Pavement is your friend, unless your bike passes you...

Live for today, let tomorrow worry about it self.

slam the bike as low as you can.......and for tire pressure, all depends on your set up...but you want to run the most pressure you can with out losing traction

hey i have a 05 zx-10r and its lowered both front & rear with the front end strap down... i lauch at 8k rpm while slippin the clutch & keepin the throttle pin at the same time... i shift at 12k rpms i noticed thats where the bike feels more beefier at so i have the shift light there but for as tire pressure like Kirk said you want to run as much psi as possible without experience tire spin but track prep plays a big factor aswell...

05 ZX-10R SWB.
