stock motor times

This is for anyone who runs a completely stock motor. (no head or cam work.) i.e. swingarms, airshifts, strapping, ect is fine. i would like like to see where everyone is at before i decide on what to do for this winter project. weather its 1/8 or 1/4 doesn't matter just curious of times & mph.

I am thinking about going back to a stock motor and curious of times and where everyone is having success at.

I went a [email protected] swb stock motor with a pc full exhaust strap and lowered about 1.5 in. stock gear. in fall of 06 then stretched it about 4in. and -1 in the early spring of 07 and went [email protected] no shifters and engine mods.

here is my best 1/8 mile time to date. bike is swb lowered front and back with front end strap. pc3 with custom tune, k&n filter, fp ignition advancer, all short stacks, leo vince carbon fiber exhaust, gen2 busa shock, geared -1 +2 riders weight 200 pounds suited.

1.608 60ft.
4.503 330ft.
6.296 594ft.
6.387 1/[email protected] mph.

05 ZX-10R SWB.

i've gone 6.201 @ 120.72, and 9.480 with a best of 150.57. swb, footshifting. mods are listed below.

gizza go, i can do that!

Black '04 10r, SWB, strapped, lowered, 15/41, footshifting.
Yosh Ti RS-3 muffler on stock headers, BMC air filter, PC3 USB, 155whp.
0.034 reac, 1.635 60', 6.201 @ 120.72mph 1/8.
9.480 @ 148.07 1/4, best terminal of 150.57mph.

I've went 1.547 60', [email protected] and getting faster, but no 1/4 mile runs yet. BMC (race), no files, slip-on, no pc, 62.5 wb,-1 +4, home made air shifter (no kill, still gotta lift)

when mine was new just with bolt on extensions and a+r inserts and no air filter , no pc , just strapped and lowered and lenthened (sitting at 62.5 ") foot shifting , i ran a best with that set up of 9.29 @147-8

Holy smokes, do I ever have a long way to go.

I've done roadracing for ~18 years and I have black pro numbers to show for it, but I've only ever gone down a drag strip a couple of times and that was with essentially a stock bike. 17/41 gearing, 190/55 tire which essentially brings the gearing back to stock *and* raises the bike up higher, stock ride height no strap no nothing (and raised up because of that tire ...), stock exhaust. Butterflies out and it has a power commander but that's about all. Manual shifting and no quick shifter. In other words, a bike completely *not* set up for drag racing. I couldn't get into the 10's. Just barely out (11.07) but I couldn't get that last little bit. It is a real handful to launch like this. I weigh 100 kg (220 lb) which certainly is no help.

Next year, will be different!


Helibars, MRA screen, Ohlins damper, reversed shift pattern, sorted suspension, braided lines, Michelin Pilot Power, all else stock 'coz it's fast enough!

best pass on a bone stock motor with a 30 hp shot.was [email protected] 07 zx10 68ins with a slider and sidewinder. its about 71ins now with a big motor and head and cams. with a 50 shot.
