How did it go Sik? I would have been out there with you today but my sprockets and chain haven't arrived yet...can't drag race until I get them as my rear sprocket is toast.:badteeth:
Anyway I hope you try again soon, I will but don't run much in the Summer so hopefully next week.
Don't run much in Summer??:spit: Why not?
Probably now your best chance to score the elusive time.
Got the truck to solve the heat issues,
New Clutch,
New Sprockets & chain
Bike done 20k miles so it nicely settled.
Stuff yerself into the suit, chin up, dump clutch, pin it.
i did very bad.... 11.1 everybody kept telling me not to wheelie so i choked off the line. didnt stall or anything but had a VERY bootsy start. next week il do better. im 6'2 an 140 so im thinkn low 10s with some more practice
I run the same bike and stock...not only that my bike has over 20k miles on it...if you show up when I'm there you can see how I launch and get some Ideas and I weigh over 200lbs suited....you will get there and have an advantage with your weight to go even faster over time....keep the Chin up ...practice practice practice that's why I keep trying stock
yeah, one of them is my friend...just got a New zx10R 06 and good rider and got into the 9s with it extended fast after a few runs.....but your right not a good reference for a short wheelbase bike like we run.:thumbsup:
Man, I'm so pissed today. I ordered a rear Sprocket from Suicycle last week. They said my rear sprocket should come in before Wed. this week and find out it's on back order. The owner is awesome and they have great prices(got my New DID ERV3 chain Gold 120 links for $135) but they missed the ball on the rear sprocket it's now back order so have to cancel and try to find one tomorrow but I doubt I will find one in town :headshake:badteeth:
Sorry for the rant but was looking foward to ride on Wed. because the weather should be great so as it stands now I won't be there...Good luck and remember to slip that clutch. The front wheel coming up a little in first gear is ok but try to get full throttle as much as you can in first gear and hit 2nd fast. After that it gets so much easier if you hit your shift points:thumbsup:
No I run 520 Vortex 16T/+40T..if I can find a 40T tomorrow in a 520 flavor I may still come out...yes I forget his name but if it's Bill he looks at MSRP...he looked up the chain and said it's $185 MSRP I will hook you up for$135 I want your business.
hey guys! ran my personal best today--10.46 @ 139 mph. Of course it doesn't even compare to the 9.81 @ 141.9 mph that my hubby Ira ran on Wed. I still gotta work on my 60' I don't know why I am having such a hard time launching this bike but it is definitely different the ZX7R w/hydraulic clutch.
Hope to see you guys out this Wed!
Oh and I met a great guy last week. His name was Richard Sims. He has a shop a couple hours north of Sacramento and he happened to have Troy Jackson and his turbo zx12r in the shop. I will tell you all about at the track next time you come out.
Awesome for IRA as well  I knew when IRA ran that bike for the first time after that he will get much lower...he is becoming awesome on launch and not only that, with that time he is right there with those stretched ZX14s for times out there.:thumbsup:
I want to say I had a good time at this event but it was so Dang HOT, it was killing me out there today, I was out there for over 9hrs :badteeth:
I did make it too the Semi-Finals in Pro-ET but lost the race to earn MONEY by .007 mostly due to a BAD REACTION TIME :BangHead:
Nice to See Quikgix(Anthony) out there again he did great, running with those big dogs on the 10R....Happy B-Day as Well Ant and hope to see ya next year.
Red...thanks for posting that...I am Go Moto and I will sponsoring the Women's Drag Race! I am really excited about the event. Last year I took 1st place in Charlie's West Coast Motorcycle Challenge Pro ET Class on my ZX7R. My Friend Annette also took 1st place in her Class too...It was all about the women drag racers that day
Not going to make it on sunday. I didn't get a chance to tune the bike with the few mods I did. I will be there saturday night. No nitrous this weekend.
depends, I remember when I first met Quikgix at sacramento coming from Bakersfield, he was wondering why his MPH was down...he is fast down here but that don't mean your going to have a higher MPH......I must admit though the fastest PURE STOCK bike in mph I ever seen on my track was 150mph by the NEW Busa, most zx14s can do 145 or 146mph, but then again so does my 10R.
I think from time slips posted through out this site the MPH is no different than any other place, but ET's are and that's what counts and Sac. is not the place you read about the best ETs. compared to those back east. :headshake:
I ran a 8.90@158 with nitrous,I couldnt get a good motor pass,my best was a 9.23@149mph. Nick didnt go, Kyle was there on his gsxr. and ran his best ever, 9.62@144mph.Ill be at Famoso friday night riding terrys 10R.
I need to get my bike tuned and get some bigger pants for next time. Trying to get my legs up was a pita. I do like racing against guys that come out of the hole hard. I'll be returning June 5 & 26 for the last time this year. You guys should come up for Hot August Nights.
Rick, you should have come out on Sat. They did prep the track and it was nice and cool.
Anthony, good to see you again. Fantastic ET's! After talking to the other guys and seeing everybody elses ET's and mph I'm going to stretch my bike.
Well, I got a phone Call today…..I guess when you Make the Semi-Finals in the Pro-ET class you win $100 Bucks ……..Whoooooooot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That means I got all my money back for racing and Entry Fees and raced for FREE this Weekend with some Change Back in Pocket. :cartwheel::cartwheel:
Glad I went on Sunday now instead of Saturday. I got a chance to take down 2 Busa’s in time trails and a newer Gix 1000 stretched in Bracket Racing who tried to hold up on me going to the finish line and I blasted right by him when he tried that move….Big Mistake, I make all my lost time up on the back half and am accelerating hard  (Anthony was that your bud you where talking about that did 9.6s@144?)
Anyway, I'm taking a break Now until Sept/Oct. Good luck everyone until then for those racing during the Summer. ccasion1
