Rear brake delete ?

Has anyone removed the rear brake caliper for the drags? I know the single front setup is common. I am thinking of removing the rear caliper not just for weight saving, but also to eliminate unneeded rear wheel drag as we all know the pads do constantly drag slightly on the rotors both front AND rear.
Anyone do this? Feedback if so would be great. Thanks.

i did the front and rear 60ft was a little better maybe picked up a mph in the 1/8th nothing drastic

05 grudge zx10r and i call her katy perry!

I cut forks internally...80 plus shipping.

Same here, running no rear brake and only one front. You will need a spacer to remove the whole assembly... I bought this one:

My strip has 1/2 mile shutdown.... so I can damn near make the turn at end with engine brake alone

Best 1/4mi ET: 8.98 @ 147 (stock motor, no turbo/nitrous)

Im not running a rear. Just both front. Left the rear bracket though as a spacer.

Only deleted rear here, i still ride mine on the street some and kept both front.

Yea, its overpriced for what it is.... but what do you do? Nobody else sells them I know of and any machine shop is going to charge the min. 1/2 or 1 hour labor which would cost more. Didn't want to leave the bracket on there.

Yea I hear ya I'm just cheap lol, I left the bracket. Almost think I could buy another bracket and cut it down into just a spacer for less, hmm.
