Hi guys
Anyone out there that might have a good suspension set up for drag racing? I have been told that the more hard the suspention is the better?

U need to set the bike up to u the thing people miss out in the most is the centerline if the bike (swingarm angle). A rear shock and cut forks are the big gains but must be fine to your wheelbase and weight of rider. Over looking a rear shock or using a busa shock is a bandaid get a shock dine

Okay guys so here goes:
I am about 80kg in weight and about 1.82m in length. Riding style - i come off the line with the clutch half out until i feel its good then let her rip. My bike is lowered in the back and the front. I have extension at the back. I am running both quickshifter as well as air shifter. The bike has a 55-80hp shot of dry shot nitros. My clutch is modded. The sprockets is 16/43. Powercommander as well as hub and handle bar switch for the extra fuel for the nos. I usually run a Mickey Thompson full slick(3221).
Hope i did not miss anything
SO?

Best option is replace your rear shock with one designed for drag racing (JRI, Penske, Brocks, etc.). Second best option is to send your stock rear shock out for a revalve (to a shop who regularly sets up drag bike suspensions). In either case the goal is to have a shock with the comp and rebound characteristics needed to keep the chassis settled both during launch and down track. The shock will be set up for your specific weight and wheelbase.

If your having traction issues soften the rear suspension to get more weight transfer to the rear. Experiment with rear tire pressures. If your not having any traction problems then just ride it.
