Need some advice....it just wont hook!!

Good morning all,
Having some issues with my set up....havent had a clean pass yet, due to not being able to get my bike to hook....every pass i either spin off the line or spin when i pin it right around the tree. Track is pretty well prepped, spinnning is not an issue generally. I have 3g is @ 64, geared 15/43 got a busa shock 3/4 clicks on, on compression and dampening, running a power one at @ 18 psi. When i sit on the bike swing arm is parrelell to the ground and the bike squats just as it should. Ive tried a light burn out and a 5 alarm smoke infested burnout....at some point before the 60ft ..every pass, i have lit up the tire Should i try running compression and rebound all out(counter clockwise until stop)?? Or, with the power one, im considering getting a hookup thinking it may not be a suspension issue at all but a tire issue. Or maybe my clutch hand sucks.....

Despite the spinning issues im happy as hell with the bike, running horrid 60fts 1.90's:headshake, my bike when it hooks...GETS IT....1/8TH 112-116 and 1/4 144-146...so the bike is straight i just need to ride the thing....thanks in advance for any advice.

It sounds like its starting to hook on you and then unloading the shock causing you to spin. I would try adjusting the rebound to where it rebounds slower.

I have had great luck with shinko, but I've also heard the power one is an excellent tire also.

Bring the rear tire pressure down to around 12-15psi.

Now what

what gix said, ive had to run tire pressure as low as 8 lbs to insure constant hook. keep dropping the tire, it will hook.

definately appreciate all the input fellas...the plan at this point is to run @ 15lbls in the P1, drop the compression a few clicks and take the rebound to full soft. also i never mentioned but im 190lbs suited.
