I launch my gen 3 at 9800rpms. I weight the same as you and I am -2 +1 gearing. Gen 3's LOVE high rpms launches. Trust me.

Thanks Dangyo, i know i was a little easy on the revs leaving the line but it was the first time i had that bike there. didnt want to leave like my old 600 and have any surprises.. for the foot shifters, are you staying wot when you shift? like jsut pulling the clutch in and shifting with the throttle pinned still? im trying to figure out why i didnt run faster with only weighing under 160.

How many times do you need to shift or what gears do you use in the 1/8 mile?

My one time out in the eighth had me just getting into second. I am approaching the strip fun very cautiously. Best was [email protected] (and I still beat a guy on a GXSR1000?).

I need a lot more practice on launching. Getting the left foot on the peg to shift is also hard as of now.

Have a dilema, do I just ride this thing, or do I focus on racing? I hate these issues!

What are you doing to shift that you think your shifting is bad?
