Lowering for the strip

Just wanting to know how far to lower the bike, I have straps and a lowering link. But dont really know how far to lower it. Can i slip the front forks to get the front down a bit more. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I have -1+1 gearing. Last time at the strip it was just wheeling to much.

My forks are slipped about an inch. Not sure if there is room to go more as the diameter changes on the fork tubes.

True that never even thought of it. Should have the front a little lower than the rear to shift the weight of the front of the bike more or not.
