Light Weight Batteries Help?

I been running my 10R not consistently but many many times in the last 6yrs. So, I went to the drag strip today I haven't been since last year Aug. I believe...I posted at that time a few new records including MPH at 146.5 new 1/4mile best and 121mph in the 1/8...only got 2 10.0s today.

So today first run clutch is still not adjusted right or something is out of wack so I knew no new best times today.......but

....I hit 148.102mph , the only mod change is the speed cell light weight batteries I lost almost 8lbs in that mod. I still weigh 215lbs in gear but that's hauling. Another 10R(1st Gen) I raced 3 times was equipped with the exact mods I have other than he's not lowered and geared, he was running 144mph and he is in regional drag racing series doing very well from what he said but I believe I am heavier we both have no power mods we just run slip-ons with no PCIII oh..and the other guy thanked me for helping him get his new personal best racing me 10.15s(his previous was 10.3s) and may become a member here as well.

Nice,
The speedcells for me allowed me to drop some weight on all of my bikes...but for the 636 allowed me to gut the tail section and remove the hard plastic undertail and build a new one that was several more lbs lighter..

Congrats on the heads up running, competition always seems to get someone faster.
Seriosuly though no PCIII yet?

No plans....I raced a few members with PCIII and full systems on this site in the past and walked them or beat them at the drag strip...it will help my times and bike overall just not interested right now. I did try though to install a PCIII when I first got my bike and received a bad unit...I said fugg it and been running basically stock all these years.

PS...if your talking about that other 10R even though I was destroying him on ET and my first run had major clutch problems until I could try an emergency adjustment... that 10R beat me 2 out of 3 times even though my ETs was usually .1 or faster...all 3 runs we both were at the finish line about the same time but REACTION times counts and my big lay off showed that today and that guys REACTION time shows why he is doing good in his regional racing series.

about the same for a 1st gen...all GENs should loose the same...the thing is for a 1st Gen it was already 407lbs Stock and my bike should be in the 390lbs(not counting fuel) or lighter with tail eliminator and other parts removed like California emission parts and tool kit.

Thanks Bud I am geared -1/+1 and hit the Rev limiter a few times but am thinking that 4th Gear with my setup is about the MAX you can do in Stock condition....meaning 148+ give a MPH or 2 with those mods.
