some people just screw a screw into the on/off button for the bike and attatch a lanyard to it. you fly off, it yanks the lanyard, and turns the bike off. just dont use to stout of a lanyard

Same here. I use the PMR killswitch on my R1. Real simple install. I got mine directly from their website. pmrcomponents.com

I have done this before also and it works well, looks just as trick and doesn't require cutting and splicing of wires.

What you do is a get a small eye screw and a drill bit and drill a small hole into the on/off switch. The side you push on with your thumb of course.

Keep in mind this switch is not made out of soft plastic but a ceramic type material so the hole has to be almost the perfect size or when you twist in the eye screw, it will brake the material.

Also use a cotter type pin (clevis pin) that will slip onto the eye screw, and pull off easy when you fall, and then a piece of telephone cord for a lanyard.

Dennis Kirk use to sell these same kits for a couple of bucks.

Best part is not cutting and splicing of wires.

Vote from me on the PMR. Shnitz racing has pics and install is a snap.
