Gearing performance in the 1/4?

I did a search but got a ton of results with no real answer.

Has anybody ran stock gearing in the 1/4 and then changed it and ran it again without doing any other mods? Specifically the -1,+2 (16,41) set up?

The reason I ask is I'm curious as to what to expect improvement wise over the 1/4 with just that mod? Last time I was at the track my 60ft times sucked but then the bike took off like crazy after that. I'm hoping it will really help me off the line.

Yeah man gearing makes a big difference if you can control the clutch. 10's have such a tall first gear it's a both trying to get it out of the hole.

I can't believe how well he can launch that bike. But I can believe he tore up that clutch that fast with how hard he was launching.

I'm interested to see too, I'm -1+1 and I did a [email protected] with a 1.98 60ft. Mine is all set up for track not drags. I'm keen to see if I go another size up in the rear if it will help.

Mine is 100% street and my best was 11.5 @ 135 but mine does not pull hard at all from a stand still maybe I'm doing something wrong but it feels like I could push it to start and get a better 60ft. I wish I could upload the 1 video I have but YouTube is being a pain in the a$$. I put the rear sprocket on last night but didn't get a chance to test it out.

It's not u guys doing anything u need a ton of gear in these bikes. If u want it to rip. try 15/44 to start. That's -2 +5

All stock I couldn't get lower than a 1.8x 60'. All trying did was burn up the clutch in no time. -1 I was able to get down to 1.68 60'. Next is -1,+2. Haven't touched the bike other wise. Best pass is 9.75 so far
