Gearing help please!

Purchased a gen 2 this winter and just got it on the dyno the other day. The bike made 168hp @ 12,500rpm and 77 ft lbs @ 10,500rpm. Based on these numbers what's size sprockets do you guys feel like would be best? Street and strip bike 1/8th and 1/4 mile. Thanks in advance for any helpful info!

-1,+2 is the overall favorite but if ur like me and a few others that enjoy the rawness of it, -1,+5 was my favorite. SWB ofcourse

ummm you dont base sprocket size on HP. and its hard to choose specific sprockets if you mention road bike, then drag bike in the same sentence. for more pep and bottom end go smaller in the front and bigger in the back. for more top end, do the opposite. most people do -1/+2 from stock. thats what i did on my gen 2. i can bring it up in 4th with no clutch.

07 ZX10R - Full BEET exhaust, Attack rear sets, ASV levers, PC3, Speedo healer, GIPRO /w ATRE, -1+2 Vortex sprockets /w 525 DID gold chain, Rifleman 1/5 throttle conversion, K&N Air/Oil filters, Nissin ZX14 calipers, Goodridge front and rear steel braided black lines, Driven D3 Gas Cap, TechSpec grip pads, HID dual lights, Smoked signals and tail light, Zero Gravity smoke windscreen, Corbin seat, Grips, Bar ends, Fender eliminator, Servo eliminator, Secondary butterflies removed. etc... $$

What other mods do you have? Those seem like pretty big numbers for a typical Gen 2.

Yup, -1+2 is very common, people seem to love it...
I went -2 in the front, it's so much fun to ride!

Just bought some motorcycle accessories upgrades for my zx10r. Replace my oem sprocket with a Vortex sprockets -1+2 and DID chain. I would say would really enjoy more my bike big changes from its mid to high range. May I ask what have you done with your bike recently? Is the engine still all stock?

Unless your 140 lbs or less you will need a minimum of -2 +4 in the 1/8
