Smile first time at the track with a bike ever. please advise?

i was nicknaming myself bogzilla cause i just couldnt launch hard enuf...period.
RT: .253 (pathetic)
60': 2.007 (still kinda sad)
330': 5.072 (meh)
1/8th mile: 7.362 (not bad)
[email protected] 1/8th 108.91 (getting better)
1/4 mile: 10.988 (yay--10's!!!)
TRAP MPH: 135.17
i'm happy for first outting of the year. actually, first time ever at the track with any bike.
my 07 10, is bone stock.
man i scuked at the tree.
this was last night at satrol raceway, edmonton alberta canada, 2200 ele.
hot and humid as hell.

ps, i need help. the track invited me to not come back without a tethered kill switch. any link on a good part would be appreciated. they only agreed to let me run at all without it, as i am an old guy, with good gear, and a new bike. well, 1000 miles on it.

What else could you buy bone stock & go tens the first time out ?

You'll need more seat time after you change the gear ratio.

See www.PMRcomponents.com for a kill switch.

Believe me, you will get better from here.

Ten seconds is nothing to blink at.

Take your time launching it.

second outting, but it was so hot and so humid. track was same as 5500 ele.
my guess thats why i lost 5 mph, but i was launching much more aggressively.
that run was a 1.87 60.

Have you changed anything on the bike yet ?

Perhaps lowering both the bike & gears ?

It's easier to put the clutch out . . .

Your 60' times got alot better.

You'll see 9's soon enough.

And you'll need a license.

Shoot for a Ten - OH.

No license needed.

well, bike is stock, except for a -1 front.
that is only diference since last run.
stock except for gipro on stock setting, and soon to be +2 rear and speedohealer in a couple days.
i still didnt burn my clutch as much as i woulda liked.
on the upside, one run (of 6), i sat at the light for 3.6 seconds to have a proper launch.
the funny thing was i was staged against another old guy on a 1600 vulcan i think with saddlebags and the works. with the headstart, i still beat him by over a second and trapped 40 mph faster. lols. i really need more strip seat time, and a cool dry night to race. i will return for sure, as i still await parts to get my 4 cyl car back into the 11;s.
ps, i really need to strap, and as for the bad air, i consistantly beat a 2008 busa by 1 second, and a old 1986 1000 interceptor with wheelie bars on spray by 2 tenths. :)

I have a stock '07 10r also. But I can't seem to break 10.59. Everytime I run the same (10.59-10.60), I can't keep the front wheel down to go any faster. Are many people running faster than this stock???
