Finally in the 8's!!!!!!

Well after chasing my 8 sec pass for 5 years. My buddy and I worked on my bike every night this last week getting the nitrous system working, and taking everything off that I didn't need. Burnt up my clutch friday night. Made a 3 hour road trip to go get a clutch yesterday and got back just in time to get it in and let the silicone set.

Put the 40 jet back in and added some fuel when we got to the track. But the 40 was just to much for my bike off the line. I don't have a pan or sidewinder, and we measured my bike yesterday and its still only sitting at 63 inches. So first pass it wheelie'd right out of the hole and went a [email protected] Next pass pretty much did the same thing. and that was the 5th pass on the 2 1/2lb bottle. I was thinkin that when I put a fresh bottle in it was gonna be even worse. My 2 dial was only set at 20% start and 6.5 sec build. Just to try to keep 1st gear manageable. So decided to put the 30 jet back in to try and help calm it a little out of the hole.

So put a fresh bottle in and a 30 jet, same start percentage and turned my build down to 6 seconds. Went a 1.49 60' but it was pulling so damn hard I couldn't get my hand back on my clutch in time to hit 2nd and hit the rev limiter and STILL went 128 at the 1/8th and went a [email protected] That would have easily been an 8 sec pass if I would have hit 2nd gear.

Then this OTT 10-5 Camaro was calling out anyone at the track. He went an 8.90, and like a 9.0 something. So I figured it would be good. They did this arm drop bullshit so I guess he would try to have a chance. He left early, and I left as soon as I saw him jump. I left a little too hard but passed him on the back wheel. Went a [email protected] on that pass.

Then I had one more chance. I was running out of time. It was already 3am and they were about to close the track. Last pass went up there. it was the 4th pass on that 2 1/2lb bottle but we still had it at 900psi. It left pretty good but slow on the 60'. It felt good but didn't feel THAT fast. I came around and got my slip and couldn't believe it! Not only did I go an 8.83. But went 158mph!! This damn thing went 130mph at the 1/8th mile! She straight put it down on the last pass of the season!!

Its been a long time comin, and even though I didn't get to back it up. I'm still very happy! I think there is one more TNT scheduled for Nov 2nd. The owner of my shop wants to put some weight on the front and get a new chain and put my wheel all the way back and see how it does. I have a few video's that my buddy's girlfriend took so I'll post as soon as I get them. But Here's my slip!!!

UPDATED: Here's the video. Sucks cuz it was from a phone and I forgot to turn my damn GoPro on. But better than nothin!

Thanks Cook! Yeah it does man! I've been waiting for this day for a loooooong time. I can't believe it still put that kinda mph down with a 6 sec build. Bardy thinks if we can get some weight on the front and get my wheel all the way back, it'll go 8.60's. So think that'll be my goal. For now anyway.

Lol I was waiting on someone to say somethin about that. I have to use my clutch from 1st to 2nd because the dogs are worn off my 2nd gear. I bought a transmission off a member on here that was supposed to be in good shape. It kicked out of 2nd the first time out. But not complaining. I just have to use my clutch from 1-2 then my quick shifter from there on. It is kind of a pain in the ass but I just have to deal. I have an air shifter cylinder and I was gonna piece together the rest. But just haven't. The quick shifter works for 2nd and up.
