I know we dont run like the east coast guys! Maybe east coast tracks are short! (LOL) My best time on the motor(stock bore, stock internals)ZX-10 Lowered,62",PC, PC quick shift,shinko,15-39,Tuned on U-4,flys out,Brocks full pipe, and BMC. went [email protected] Ive been told if I was back east in good air that it would go 2or3 tenths quicker! As far as I know I have the quickest 1000 on the west coast...I want to hear some west coast racers chime in on this subject!

You know www.SacramentoRaceway.com is a fast track.

I'm not sure that many other tracks are faster.

As soon as you fix your ZX10 . . .

Right now it's broken !

jeremy wanders 03 gsxr 1000. [email protected] at sacramento king of the coast race in october.
velocity stage 2 turbo kit. etc.....

my buddy chris batten has ran a 9.27 on his 02 gsxr 1000 with a velocity stage 2 kit and a stock motor with stock clutch. Can't sixty it worth a crap because it blows through the stock clutch if he tries to launch agresivly. That is here at firebird at 2,800' elevation.
I ran a [email protected] on my first pass the next weekend here at firebird. Then I had traction issues and they went to 1/8 mile because of rain.

go to www.northwestdragbike.com for the fastest on the west coast. Their is also a list their for the fastest times.

Their is also dusty beckstom from utah with a turbo 01-02 gsxr 1000. I know he has ran 8.7's. I believe I heard he has ran as fast as 8.5's.

In canada ethan barkley got down to a 7.9 on a turbo 06 gsxr 1000 this year.

I saw you their, but did not know it was you till later.

Not sure if I saw you out there I was running Pro-Et only because Street ET was using the .5 tree. I will say for the mods Guikgix is talking about I don't see to many going faster, in fact you hardly see any /05/06/07 Gix 1000 running and that weekend I think it was only myself and quik running 10rs last year there where more 10rs and the 05/06/07 Gix 1000s were still absent. I will say quik has a valid point in this thread, as it is totally different from what you read about the guys east of the Mississippi all running new 1k Gixxers it's just not happening out here for moderate mod 1ks. The newest trend at Sacramento is running the ZX14, you need little time, mods or experience and can get into. the 9s easy. The busas are gone for wed. night fun drags and it's mostly Kawi bikes on those days as well at this track.....in the past it was the opposite

You can get into the 9's no problem on a gsxr 1000 bone stock. I ran a 10.22 bone stock on my 06 gsxr 1000.
One weekend on it lowered and extended and ran a 9.94 @142. That is here at firebird. about 3 tenths faster at sea level. I weigh 185 and a lighter guy (150 or so) ran a 9.8 on a gsxr 1000 bone stock.
I know here at firebird their is always atleast 5 or 6 gsxr 1000's and one zx10. About 10 regulars on gsxr 1000's and two zx10's. They are both fast. Just more stuff available and easier to get for the gsxr 1000.

And yes. Quikgix is doing very good for the mods he has.

yes, just like as I saw you reading about my post doing [email protected] NOT EXTENDED (best mph 146mph) and I weigh well over 200lbs with a old 10R and ailing clutch, but my point is for this track that most is saying it's easy to run fast. The busa guys have given up the average rider will get spanked by the average ZX14s riders and have taken over. Yes both bikes are fast f'sho a given, just pointing out what the average rider on this track can expect.

I guess we need more input though from the rest of the west coast just chiming in what I see out here......thanks
