clutch options

I was out at the test n tune on saturday night to try the bike out After the ecu flash exhaust and sprockets but half way down the 1/4 mile my clutch started to slip.

The bike doesnt even have 2000kms on it and has only previously had about 8 runs down the strip prior to these last 3 runs.

What are some better clutch options for the gen 4

You would find answers far quicker and more detailed by searching. Sorry to be that guy.

No personal experience I'm still running the stock setup. From what I've read on here most guys like the OEM plates but upgrade the springs. Some also instal a clutch mod.

Go to Brocks website they have spring kits, clutch mods and cushion kits. Just google Brocks Zx10r clutch.
It is my understanding that the clutch mod heavier springs and cushion kit work together to allow the clutch to grab better so it doesn't wear as fast on the hard launches. The clutch mod takes out the slipper clutch and allows you to add the stiffer springs. The springs push harder so you will feel it in the lever but they also push harder on the clutch too. I have no clue how the cushion kit works but I guess it extends the life of the clutch and helps it hook up better so you get better launches 60' mph and et's.

Brock's Clutch Mod - $100
Brock's Clutch Cushion Kit - $200
APE Trac King clutch pack - $145

I go 1.3 60fts with this setup and high 8's in the 1/4, in the heat of summer.

Absolutely. I run my bike all the time on the street with it. The clutch mod disables the factory slipper clutch. It has no ill effect on street riding. The cushion kit with the springs does increase the stiffness of the clutch lever, but again, has no ill effect.
