Best Night of Personal Best last night

After taking some time off from racing over the last few months.
Got my Sh#$ together.
Could not ask for a better evening for racing.
Good weather and decent humidity.
Never had been below 5.80 in 3 years of running my Gen4 stretched.
Bike #14... on the windscreen
Running 87 No-ethanol pump gas, no engine work, "custom" clutch spring setup, foot shifting, lowered 2" front and rear, sitting at 64", gearing 15/44, I am 164 in shorts.

Went 5.78-124.8 with perfect light (.0000) 2nd pass out.
Later in the night, racing my wife in bracket racing went my fastest pass ever, 5.73-124 with my lowest 60 foot ever, 1.40. All around good night.

There was no way I was expecting to run faster then 5.78 last night. But when her light came on, I was excited to see what I had run.

You had reaction time advantage must have been a slight change in atmospheric conditions. Slight bit cooler perhaps.

The ZX14 is probably a better choice for drag racing than a Gen 4. Just my opinion. You can put a slick and bars on a 14 with no mods and run 8's all day. If I was dragracing again that would be my choice. I figure if its good enough for Ricky Gadson its good enough for me. roflmao
