16/44 gearing on motor..WTF

So..I put the 44 tooth sprocket on the back of my bike.....16 tooth front...BRAND NEW clutch ((steels and fibers))...take it out to the track, my rider is 200lbs without leathers----and the bike is bouncing off the limiter in 6th gear going through the traps at only 147mph.....I take off the 44 tooth and go BACK to the 42 and its bouncing off the limiter in 5thgear....stock motor, Shinko ultrasoft 190...6" extensions

this is the best run with 16/42---which is quicker than the 16/44
The bike only back half's 3.3071 seconds...
1.53 60'
4.0203 330'
6.0370 1/8 mile
121.29mph 1/8 mile
7.8131 1000'
136.38mph 1000'
9.3441 1/4
146.55 mph 1/4

the 16/44 and 16/42 had about the same mph 144-147

anybody else bouncing off the limiter in 6th gear with 16/44 running only motor, no nitrous?

Thanx but im not happy with it ...I still haven't hit the dyno to tune it yet, and its still being foot shifted. I was hoping to get into the .20's before i really started into it....still has the stock plugs and air filter...

Thats weird, according to gearing commander.com with 16/44 and a 50 series tire it should be able to do 149 @ 12750 in 5th and 160.7 in 6th. 16/42 156 for 5th and 168 for 6th. Now if it were 15/44 it'd be 140 and 150, 15/42 147 and 157.8. Are you sure it's 5th, 6th and not 4th, 5th or you actually have 15t on the front. Not to say you don't know what you're talkin about, just fresh thinking to the table. I'm runnin 15/42 and just gettin into 6th at the traps @ 144. My bike stock is 17/40. Now also according to gearingcommander 5th should top out @ 147 for me. So maybe those mph are a little (roughly 3 mph). I just have a hard time thinkin they're 10 mph off. BTW Are you sure you're not hitting the speed limiter with the gauge reading 186? Just some ideas...
