Question Lap Times at Texas World Speedway???

As the thread title says, I was hoping somebody on the forum might have done, or know what good lap times are for bikes around TWS. (College Station, Texas)
Particularly the full track witch is the 2.9 mile course that goes both outside of, inside of, and on the super-speedway.
Any bike or car you might have taken around the track, please let me know.
Thanks.

Ask hillcountry10r, that ninny has been around there a time or two.

Also check with zeta xray. He's got quite a bit of experience on two and four wheels with the old configuration of the track. IIRC when I was running on it, my times were 1:57~1:58, but that's been over 20 years ago.

record there I believe is 1:43, set by Ty Howard...
But isn't that the new layout with all of the track inside the oval?

Thought so. The old layout was a lot of fun, especially coming off the back straight into to the banked turn (outside the oval). If you had the nerve, that was a flat in top gear (at least in my car) turn. Of course carrying that much speed made it really twitchy in the next turn! Running from turn 3 on the oval to turn 1 on the oval was kinda boring. There was a bad place in the track just over the tunnel in oval 4 that you would bottom the car on. No fun when you're sitting on the floor pan. Ouch!

1:43??? on the 2.9 mile. Thatís its flat flying.
I was just trying to compare bike times to some car times. I was there for the NASA (national auto sport association) Race and was just curious what bikes do there.
My car is a very low powered spec motor stock car. We were doing low 2's.
There was a real fast class of cars there though, mainly stripped down Vettes and Porscheís, as well as a few old ASA stock cars that were in the high 1:40's.

Hill country, do remember what kind of speeds you could see at the end of the NASCAR front stretch? Some people in our class were claiming they were clocked at the low 120's mph but it sure didn't feel like it.
