Laguna Racing Lacking?

I haven't been there since the first year that GP started again and had a great time but missed the GP on Sunday that year because it was late in the day and the traffic was miserable. I am 3 -4 1/2 hrs away and Rented an RV that was due the next morning. The time to get out of there was 1-4hrs and I had my son, wife and a dog to take home and another 2 1/2hr drive the next morning to return the RV, so I made the choice to miss the GP race on sunday and hit the road. Another thing I remember was the lack of actual races, yes there are plenty of practice/qualifying sessions and those are cool but I like racing.

So, I downloaded the schedule for this year and I only see 3 races....can someone tell me if this is right?

Saturday only 1 RACE

AMA Supersport 4:45PM

Sunday 2 Races

Moto GP 2pm

AMA Superbike 3:45PM

thats it

Wow you are right... No Superstock for FX...

And how does one get a ride on that 2-seat Ducati?

Ok, looking at my this years Infineon Races I attended and the difference with GP installed is you only get 1 Superbike RACE NO FX or Superstock...I answered my own question I guess but thought with such a BIG event they would try to get all classes for Laguna...

Honestly I think AMA needs to get their own w/e and let motogp just have the track for the w/e and bring the 125's and 250's like they are doing in Indy next year.

I was there last year. And all the AMA classes had races. I have no idea why they dropped the Superstock and FX... Maybe they figured that there wasn't enough track time to go around?

If I remember right they use to have 250cc and 125cc at laguna before they left many years ago, and now that they are back it looks like AMA races are sacrificed for the event. GP is big but still new to many in the US just starting to watch, AMA has been around awhile....don't know the answer for that one but yeah unless like your are saying Indy is doing next year...you mean NO AMA racing at all at Indy?

What I am saying is have AMA and MotoGP at Laguna and Indy but not on the same w/e. Brilliant!!!

See I dont think either group should have to sacrifice anything that's why they need to have their own w/e's

last year at the laguna round all ama classes raced. because it was so hot, the motogp race was postponed a couple hours. beauase of that the ama supersport and superstock races were late in the afternoon on sunday, and they were bck-to-back. so guys ike jamie hacking had to race the supersport race, come in, change bikes, and go back out for the sstock race. and with it being over 100 degrees, that had to wear him out. it was just a little crowded all weekend, and the ama guys in all classes were bitchin about practice times. but that didnt seem to get much better this year, superbike only got .5 hour on fri, 1 hour on sat, then qualify and race on sunday.
