How are you mounting lap timers?

I'm going to order the XT Ultra lap timer from Mike. Where are you guys mounting your receivers at and how long of a cord should I get? Pics are great lol Thanks for the help. Mine is going on a Gen2.

I just Velcro it to my tank and Velcro the receiver to the side covers near the front clip ons. Easy and removable if a friend wants to time a session

Thanks guys, someone told me to mount it as low on the bike as possible. So I thought the receiver had to go on the forks or something.

On a Gen4 we mount it to the top of the tank near the front and then snake the wire between the fork tube and steering stem and mount the IR to the top of the air tub just under the dash cluster with Velcro holding it all on.
