Question ZX10R vs S1000RR vs CBR1000RR

Guys, I'm facing a dilemma, I need an advice.

In a nutshell my 08 R1 just lost an argument with a daring SUV who pulled out in front of me 2 weeks ago in London :(. Bike is cat D now, and I'm forced to make a decision on a new bike.

Had a ZX600 before the R1 and a R125 from when God created bikes.

Iím fancying one of these ones: ZX10R, CBR1000RR or S1000RR. Price range they're similar..

My mates are riding different styles, and through test-drives during that one hour, I canít really get a feeling of both motorway and Londonís congestion - so Iím asking here and there - trying to figure out which oneís going to be.

Iím not doing track days, however I may look into that if not this year, next year Iíll start for sure.

Iím commuting daily, part of it is congestion - but who doesnít. I know 600s would be suitable for congestion.. I can't help myself rolling back from R1 to a 600 wouldn't really work.

Height - 1m and 80cm however all of them are pretty similar and I reckon if I managed to ride the R1 whoís position is very aggressive, I shouldn't have problems with these ones.

The only factors that I can think of now are childish - thatís why Iím here, to get some real inputs. Any advices? Factors to compare?

I'd keep this next bike for as long as I'll be able to stay away from reckless SUV drivers and during that timeframe I may do some track days, plenty of motorway, plenty of commuting, etc. When I'm active with work and everything, I'm doing around 100 miles every 3-4 days.

If you're familiar with the 2013-2014 models refer to them - this one will be brand new.

Many thanks!
Bogdan

If the bmw is really in your price range fuck a cbr and zx10. Get the king of bikes. Not some shitty cbr. And the cbr does not have a better mid range than the bmw. Ridden them both. Bmw is bullet proof

lol! Exactly.

The CBR is an awesome street bike. Gobs of midrange, super light feeling front end, great clutch, very comfortable, and it's built very well. Love riding my buddies 2012.

BMW is very comfortable too, and it's a weapon. Has some quality issues though.

10r is a great bike, very smooth, but lacks the mid-range for street use. Very comfortable, and very fast. Love mine.

Sub'd.

The Kawi G4 is an all around contender. Best bang for the buck and very easy bike to ride, fast, slow, doesn't matter. The midrange isn't quite adequate for street usage, but it definitely still works.

Not to highjack, but you should consider an RC8r as well. I've been keeping my eye out for one. Ridden a couple different ones and thoroughly love that bike. Powerful torque; good through all gears. Sounds mean as hell, too, with a good pipe on it.

Strictly for the GEN2's Sporting the undertail with pride!
