Performance.. and hello..

Whats up folks. Been riding for a while, but just have a question that needs to be cleared up.

I notice that when its warmer and more humid out, my bikes, regardless of which one, runs shitty. When its cool, it runs mint, smooth, and sounds nice. When its warm it sounds like its choking and is a little more sluggish. I know it has something to do with basic mechanics. Just not sure what it is. Anyone?

Well usually as the temp drops the bike runs better, it gets better atomization of the fuel and the charge burns more efficiently. There is really no fix for it. The cooler the air the better they will run. Such is the case with all motors. As temperature drops the air/fuel becomes leaner. Which in turn makes it run better.

the colder the more dense the more O2 available hence better performance

If you take a look here http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_dp.htm and plug in the weather numbers from here http://weather.noaa.gov/ plus the altitude above sea level, you'll see how temperature, humity (dew point really), altitude above sea level and barometric pressure change your horseposer output. This is pretty much what the dyno-dudes use to "correct" the horsepower numbers after a run. again.

Cold air = dense air
Dense air = more O2 per cylinder fill and more fuel injected per fill
more O2 + more fuel = more power
more power = more better.
