New 2009 zx10r owner

Hi guys, new owner of a 2009 zx10r.Had a 636 previously, the zx10 is a nice step up, love the torque. Great bike. battery died on me 2 days after purchace, stator was bad, replaced it, was good for another few days and battery died again, tested stator all ok, bought new battery still not charging so it looks like the R/R. Anyway great bike hope to get it sorted soon so I can get out there again

Thanks mate, pretty sure its the rectifier, not putting me off just keen to get it fixed. Great bike otherwise ;)
I was after a green one but couldn't track one down, but quite liking the black/gold now.

Has the recall for the rectifier been done? May get one for free if not.

Welcome to the party!

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

thanks guys, yeah I gave them my VIN and they said there is no outstanding recalls, asks them if the rectifier has been done and they said no, I don't think australia had many bikes recalled for this. anyway I replaced the RR and its good now. I don't like it getting so hot though, might put a small 12v pc fan on it to cool it down a little. Some guys with the gixxers relocate it in the airbox, possibly ours too but haven't searched for it on the forum yet.
