Just bought a new 08 ZX10R

Hi, as of today I'm a new owner of a 2008 Blue ZX10R. Bought it with 1 mile on the odo and took it for a 50 mile ride, all I can say is that I'm in love with the bike. Started with a 1980 Honda CB900 Custom as my first bike that I learned on, then upgraded to a 2008 ZX6R with 4400 on the odo. I thought the ZX6R was fast until I got the ZX10R. I'm 5'8" 180lbs and feel much more comfortable on the zx10r. Well after the little into I'll just get to the picture now.

Congrats. You picked a great bike.

Now gear it -1 frt at least, possibly +2 rear also
Get a speedo healer and set it to 13.5% correction, 20% with addition of +2 rear
Revalve the steering damper at www.kyleusa.com
Remove the secondary flies or get a Healtech X-TRE to rid the timing retard in gears 1-4
Of course a slip-on of some variety. I like mine, and it was cheap at $250 =)

BTW, the boom box is not the cat, it's just a perforated straight though resonator that's in between the canister and the headers. The cat is in the headpipes. The exhaust valve is not a powervalve, it's an noise suppression device to pass emissions. There, now you can troll around on this site like you know everything =)

Welcome!

16t front/43t rear sprockets(-1/+2), Healtech speedo-healer, X-TRE, MDA123 1.8lb lightweight battery, Dan Kyle re-valved Steering Damper, Hotbodies MGP Growler exhaust, Hotbodies GP windscreen, fender eliminated

Lol, thanks nothing like getting directly to modding it with only 58 miles on the bike.

Can't believe you waited that long to mod it!

My #1 recommendation is send the damper off to Kyle racing for a revalve. Only $100 and it will help you stay relaxed and upright while mastering all the power of the 10.

A Jelly Fucking Doughnut !
From now on you're PRIVATE HAYABUSA !!
