Exclamation Installed PCV and won't stay running

So, I installed my Poer Commander V on my 2016 zx10r, and ran into a peculiar issue. It only receives power while the fuel pump is pressurizing. I've checked the connections, and the ground. I can start the bike, and it runs, but as soon as it's pressurized, the PCV loses power, and the engine stops. One thing I should mention is that I didn't have the posi-tap connector. So, I went with a butt connector splicing the connection at the ecu connector on the purple wire connecting to pin #24, where you're supposed to posi-tap it. Could this be the problem, or could I have just gotten a junk PCV? Maybe a fuse is gone?
