Hi from Argentina!!

Hi to everyone!!!
I am about to buy a 2005 zx-10R. I currently ride a MT01, and previously had a V-max...
So, muy first question is: When buying a used zx, what are the key things to look into?

mdenari, the '05 ZX10R is pretty much solid, not too many bugs in it stock. I'd look to see if it was down, also check the ram air tube for cracks or breaks- if it was wheelied hard the duct tends to break. But overall a very great motorcycle. I have an '05 too and love it. Where in Argentina are you from? My wife is from outside Buenos Aires.

Look right under the speedo cluster and you'll see a black box looking tube that comes from the head of the frame under the speedo and into the duct opening up front, check it for any hairline cracks or if it seems newer than any other plastics? IF that can even be determined? I have an 04' and love the hell out of it man!! seems like the one you're looking at is in pretty good shape with the bonus of being a 1st gen!! welcome to the forum bud and you'll love the 10!!

NOT a problem at all man, if you have questions....then we have answers for ya bro. there is NEVER a stupid question, there are however dumb ass answers that usually match those that give them. let us know what happens with that bike? you didn't mention how much they're asking for it? IF you do get it...go ahead and get a steering damper to put on that sucker!!! IMHO it's the main draw back from the 1st gen...i know i know guys...besides the brakes but they're decent enough for "most"

Thanks for such a warm welcome! Well price is an issue. In Argentina bikes ARE EXPENSIVE. I would have to pay 15K US Dollars for this 10Kmile 2005 zx-10. The 2010 sells for 22K....
