Hey, considering buying a 04-05 ZX10r

Hello guys/girls...

I've been riding for a while, done a few trackdays, have owned an R6 for the past 5 years and just came upon a deal I may not be able to resist.

I have a very good friend selling an 04-05 (not sure exaclty, I think it's an 04) ZX-10r for $7500. He is great at taking care of his stuff and the bike looks and runs new, it has less than 5k miles. He has a damper, ss brake lines, an aftermarket exhaust and other misc upgrades.

Ok so my question is two part.

1. This is a good price correct? What does an average ZX10r sell for? I'm in South Florida btw

2. Is ther anything I should look out for with the 04-05 ZX10r?

Thanks for reading, I hope I become a part of your community.

you can usually find me on the R6 Messagenet > -ing.

1. This is a good price correct? YES What does an average ZX10r sell for? I'm in South Florida btw Not sure but with those mods I don't think you'll find a much better deal. I assume it's never been wrecked

2. Is ther anything I should look out for with the 04-05 ZX10r? If it's 04, make sure the front wheel swap was done, also maybe check the tail light tabs, (they can break if you put weight or force on them). The steering stem bearings may need adjusting if he does wheelies and such. All minor stuff but just answering your question truthfully

Afmedic, Thanks for the info.

He doesn't stunt, I beleive it is an 04 as I remember he had a new front rim put on. This guy treats his bike like a baby, super clean always kept inside, no garage, actually inisde his house. Yeah I honestly think it's a great deal. He recently got married and he just bought a new house, thats the reason for him wanting to sell it. We used to ride together all the time until about 6-8 months ago, so I know the guy extremely well, plus I figure the bike will still be there if he ever wants to take a spin.

Haha, Mad, yeah I don't want to bother him to much on the price I'll mention it but I'm alright with $7500. If I do buy it, you'll know by the end of the coming week.

And I'll do the obligated picture posting.
