Help for a ZX10

Hi all! Used to own a 2002 ZX9R. Thinkin about buying a brand new 06 ZX10. However, I just found a used 2005 with ony 1800 miles on it for several thousand less than a new 06. Any opinions on which year is better and if the 06 is worth the extra money, where is the best price to be found? I am 6'4" tall. I hear that an 05 is more comfy for a taller rider. any help is much appreciated. I can't go much longer without a Ninja. My life has been a bore since I sold my last one.

'04-'05 is the best. No really just whichever looks better to you. Also if you get the 05 you have to get a damper.

:iamwithst .....but really..I had a ZX9R ..99 model…it had a full system, jetted, 520conver….and K&N filter and was very fast…at least I thought it was until I bought my 04 10R. I thought I would miss my 9R….never did…the 10 is a whole new world even stock compared to what I had….so that should give you an idea what the 04/05 10Rs can do. The 06 owners can tell you their own reasons for going to the 06….but from a previous ZX9 owner…I tell you that you won’t be disappointed if you decide to save some money.

I bought a used 04' as opposed to a new 06' saved about 6000.00 and am very happy I made that choice, the 04' is a brute and I love it. Even if it wouldn't have been about the money I think I would have bought an 04' or 05'. I came off a 1999 GSXR 750 that I had bought new and let me tell you this 10r is leaps and bounds better.

Buy the 05' and spend some $ on a damper and exhaust.

Send a message via AIM to smalls23
, and i would say buy what you like. I feel as though the 04-05 are more nimble but are a little twitchy on the throttle ( but thats what i love about my 05) and why i didnt wait for the 06

I love my 06. It really has a closer styling to the zx9's then the 04-05 model. I like the swoopy rear and bubbly front... it kinda reminds me of my zx9 going on a diet packing on an extra 50lbs of muscle

You gotta be kidding me... slow....
your nuts. Let me guess Kawi had no idea how the 06 would compre to the 04-05 model? They made the 04-05 great and then they made it better in 06.
Just my opinion. Kawi isn't in business to make the 10r slower each year... are they....

to the forum and enjoy.

Seriously, get whichever one appeals to you the most.

There are a couple of threads out there on the 06 already. Both are great bikes. I believe Miykl gave a little review recently on his opinion of the 06 after riding one and as I recall I think he said it felt a little more cramped than the 04-05's.

And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the AMERICAN PEOPLE" TR
