Hello everyone

Hello ZX-10R forum:

Until Friday, most of the bikes I've owned have been Hondas. I bought my wife an '06 CBR1000RR a couple of months ago, and I was thinking of upgrading my CBR929RR (after riding hers, I didn't think there was enough difference to justify the cost). I have a friend who bought a ZX-10R, and I fell in love instantly.

He let me ride it, and I sure wasn't disappointed. I've had problems with my neck and wrists on the CBR, and for some reason, the short fuel tank on the ZX-10R seems to have been designed for me. I'm not putting any pressure on my wrists, and the short throw to the tank has me very upright when I slide up to the tank.

I'm so jazzed about this bike - I love just about everything about it. From the projector headlights to the deep but mellow exhaust.

So friday, I went down to the dealership, and left with a black '06 ZX-10R.

(still pretty much stock, and I'm sure you guys have already seen it, but here are some pics).

My wife and I are both part-time MSF instructors, and we live in Seattle... This is both of our second year of doing track days (she just got bumped up to the intermediate group). Besides the CBR929, I also have a GL1800, which is really nice when I commute in bad weather (heated seat and grips makes it nice in the cold). I'm on my 3rd set of footpegs on that bike. My wife has the CBR1000, and a VFR800a (as her cold-weather bike). I also have a '93 Katana 600 that I'm working on setting up as a thrasher/track/50 mpg commute-to-work bike, but I think that the ZX-10 has me a little spoiled for now - we'll see how that works out.

I have a website that I put motorcycle-related content on... There's some stuff I've done on some other bikes I've owned that's worked out pretty well... feel free to stop by and check out some of the articles (you'll need Java installed on your PC...)

Anyway, nice to meet you guys, see you in the forums.

"Any man who says he is an AMERICAN, but something else also, isn't an AMERICAN at all.
We have room for but one flag, the AMERICAN FLAG .... We have room for but one language here, and that is the ENGLISH LANGUAGE...
And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the AMERICAN PEOPLE" TR
