Got my 08 ZX10R

Well I turned to the green side from a 2003 R1 that I had the past 2 years. That bike was great, tons of torque, but it started having some 2nd gear issues so I decided it was time to get rid of it!

I'm in Memphis, TN and as such I haven't had any time to ride this ZX10 yet but I do hear great things about them.

It is a 2008, has a CustomLED's taillight with integrated turn signals, a fender eliminator, speedo healer to correct the stock sprockets/speedometer being off, an m4 slip on, and a saddlemen gel seat.

I have a quick question on something though. Even though the bike looks like it has been cared for meticulously, something striked me as odd. It doesn't have the "Ninja" sticker on the side fairings. I know on my R1, these fairing stickers were under the clearcoat. Obviously if the ZX10 stickers were under the clear that would indicate to me that these are aftermarket fairings.

So, does anyone know if the ninja sticker on the fairing is removable?

I am pretty sure the decal on the side fairings is on top of the clear coat. I will try to check tomorrow since I just got in from work tonight.

If the ninja sticker on the fairing is removable this means 3 things.

1. factory no stickers.
2. aftermarket fairing low percentage
3. damaged and repainted.

I have zx10r 2011 and there is no stickers, only on the tank zx10r sticker and on the lower plastic kawasaki sticker.

Welcome to the party!

The only clear-coated stickers on any Kawasaki are on the fuel tank to prevent spilled fuel from ruining them. Every other sticker on the bike is removable.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

Perfect, thanks!

And thanks to everyone else for the re-inforcement/checking.

Guess I'm good to go then!

I just put in an order for a power commander v, because I assume the exhaust and no servo is probably hurting it a little. Also ordered the spider peak grips I like and some protek swingarm spools (with the spacer).

Anybody have a recommendation on a good back protector and gloves? I have been looking at the knox aegis v14, spidi warrior, and the alpinestars kr-2 for back protectors. Its one item I've never ridden with, but after watching a guy break his back from a wreck, I know that its something I'm going to wear before I ride again.

About PCV
Recommendation: buy auto tune with O2 sensor and make excellent Air/Fuel Ratio :) + buy block of plates too :) Air filter too and etc.

Gloves: for hot condition
1. ALPINESTARS Atlas Leather
2. ALPINESTARS GPX Leather
3. Dainese Essential.

about back protector with my mind this is one in one not useful something like useless product, if someone will crash and at normal speed, this protector will turnout and appear somewhere near face or near leg or maybe will be on the helmet :)))
if you want normal protect or go and buy full Dainese suite or buy only jacket but leather :) with or without protectors :)
