And on the pro chain tensioner there's a built in o ring so u cant turn by hand its hard as Fuck to turn so ignore that part. Just use the hex and go slow till u feel it touch.

Good news. The rest of the engine is soo smooth; purrs like a kitten. I love it, redlining with WOT in 2nd (I have a place for that) and then pulling up at lights with it sounding so smooth and innocent. Puts a smile on my face every time.

BTW, was there any evidence on the OEM CCT why is was so slack?

10th notch, wow! My tensioner was on the 4th after 7,000 km. I presume you removed the cap before removing the body of the tensioner?

I removes the middle cap and pulled out the little shaft and spring. Then I removed the two 8mm bolts for the body. I followed the service manual. And ys its on the 9th notch lol

Like I said it sounded as if the stock tensioner was jumping to the next notch then immediately getting loose again.

FYI, My louder then the normal Kawi tick started at around 8000 miles. I'm at 11,000 miles now and the cam chain self adjuster never adjusted so the tick is still getting louder. My Dealer just ordered a new cam chain adjuster and he will be installing it under warranty as soon as it comes in....

Great!
You may find soon that as the chain slack progressively increases, it will enable the chain to "slap around" and develop that all too familiar noise... then it's time for adjustment.

I personally adjust it whenever I have the RH fairing removed or when changing oil.

Could I just quarter turn it when I change the oil in 700 miles?
