Balancer shaft seal?

Hi all,

I recently purchased a '96 ZX11 D and last night I noticed the seal of the balancer shaft is leaking oil. Now, according to the service manual I have to split the crankcase. Which I really don't want to do if I don't have to. Does anyone know if the seal can be replaced with the engine still attached to the bike???

Thanks!
