Thumbs down Yamaha ads on site

I realize that with the new ownership, there is going to be a focus on profitability. I also realize that the ads are reduced if I log in. However, I am not always on a terminal that I log on with. I would rather not go to the kawasaki forum, and have to put up with ads to finance a yamaha on the main forum index page. Maybe its late and I am way off base, but it seems way uncool to me.

Boo to whoever approved that ad.

Our site, as well as quite a few other forums are now owned by motorcycle.com. I'm guessing they sell advertising to some "sponsors" across the board.

That's right Garth...advertisers are spending huge on online advertising. I sell both print and online advertising for a living. It's still very hard to track the ROI though

Wow, I don't see how they make so much profit. I have trained my mind and eyes to ignore anything that I am not intending to read that if the ad said I won something and had my whole name, social # and address. I'd still be oblivious. I STRONGLY recommend every one to train your subconscious to ignore all adds on ALL AND ANY forums. Even if it is something you were seeking. You can always research it on your own.

"just my personal opinion"
