Spliting up Generations

It would kind of be cool if the general and performance sections were split up by generations of the ZX-10 instead of having everything into two forum sections. Kind of like how 1000rr.net has their bikes split up by year.

If we did that, how else can we talk crap to one another about how ugly and slow their bike is vs your own?

But in all honesty, the bikes from 04-10 are not light years in differences, most stuff apply to one another. They all use the same oil, same plugs, same air in the tires, so would it seem a lil redundant to have 3 guys post the same question in 3 separate parts of the forum (what type of oil should I use) When they can just post 1 question here and get answered by 3 different gen owners.

What's the reasoning for your request for the split? Finding it hard to locate a specific problem? If so, let me know what it is and I'll show you how easy it is to find.

Another benefit of not separating it is most of us have or had 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen and can help in most instances. If you separate it and I have a 3rd gen, I might not visit the 1st or 2nd gen section and miss out on some threads I could have participated on.

when i die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car.

It is a double edge sword because it does eliminates everyone being in one section of the form. But it does help in organization of information. And Rainking1978 has a great point of why it shouldn't be divided.

Garage
This come up a few times a year and the decision by the staff and the members turns out to be "Keep it the way it is."

One other tool members could use to help differentiate between gens is to utilize the tags at the bottom of every thread.
