Question Question for the Mods

I know we have prefix for the different gens but why don't we have sub forums under ZX10R for each gen like some other forums. It would be nice to go in one place and see threads only for that specific gen. See stickies threads with pictures and other stuff.

I vote we get sub forums for each gen.

Didn't really answer the question. We got the prefix but a sub-forum for each gen would be nice. Instead of doing a search, you just jump into the sub forum and find the sticky threads regarding that specific gen, with new posts, etc.

Ok the second link answers it more, but still I think it would be nice to have that. I hit New Posts 99% of the time anyways and I see all the posts from each forum. So I don't think it really separates everyone.

Maybe we can take a forum wide vote. Just a thought.

Voted against. Imposing too much structure would only create chaos.

On that note, maybe it would be viable to create "views" that would allow individual users to show/hide threads with specific prefixes? Something like "show only threads: gen 4".

Also people don't always put the prefix. I bet a lot of people on here don't even know what that is. So you have a lot of posts that are not organized per each gen.

Those would be the same people who don't know which forum to post under. If you look in this section (where this post should have been started ) you can read plenty of arguments both for and against sub forums.

The best argument against is that the majority of the posts can apply to more than one gen. Placing a post in a sub forum would cause it to be missed by many members.

Not totally against sub forums, there's just usually more votes against than for

I always hit Newest Posts, so I see them all. But I see your point. Although it still would be nice to have a sub forum for each gen.

Actually, it would be nice to have a forum for Starbucks.

09' Ice Blended Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino
10' Venti Mocha Latte spilled some of it, was too hot
11' Peppermint Mocha W/Extra Shot of Espresso
12' Eggnog Venti Latte
13' Bagel
14' Standard Drip (since a Venti latte went up 20 cents)

YSR was nice enough to meet half way that was the answer create Gen1-Gen4 drop down menus. Is it perfect? not if you don't use it but we felt more Con's than Pro's for sub-forums at this time.

Sorry. At least I tried.
But you are right, I doubt I'd be able to contain myself to just one forum anyways.
