This forum needs better organization

I appreciate all the work that the admins. and moderators do, but I wish this Gen 4 forum (and the other ones) were better organized. Maybe into the following five sections:

General Discussions
Technical Q&A
DIYs
Accessories
Other Topics

Just a thought. I know I'm going to get blasted for this so bring it on ...

The Admin has already taken great steps to improve ways to separate Gens like drop down menus in the sales section, Gen filters in other sections but to totally separate them all together IMO will make this site look messy.

Now as far as Blasting you I will only say this, I wonder how much you really know about the site and what it's capable of and where things should be because you posted in the ZX10R section this section is reserved for General ZX10R related items not Suggestions how the Admins should organize it.

Help us help you by at least posting in the right sections.....moving to the Suggestion Forum.

It also helps if people title stuff right too, but its not hard to find stuff if you just put a little effort in.

I'm guilty of this myself, but the more time I spend on the site (more than I probably should lately), the easier it is for me to find certain information.

But the Gen filters in the other sections don't seem to work as well as they should/could because, as others have mentioned, people either don't understand how the titles/pre-fixes work or simply don't take the time to do it. For example, if you go to the "how to" section and use Gen 4 as a filter, there's only one post...dealing with installing a Graves exhaust system. Surely there should be more threads in that particular section. Yes...if you spend time, you can find stuff...but I'm thinking that if you are looking in the right place, then it should be easy (if not easier) to find stuff. In the same vein, I'd like to find what kind of accessories people have installed on their Gen 4s. How do I find that?
To find Accessories use the Advanced Search feature by Gen and see what comes up that has been tagged. As far as the How To section there really haven't been many Threads relating to the How To for a Gen 4 but when I find them I will stick them there so agree more need to be in that section.

Now that you are in the right place Admin will check in later and may have input. I will suggest maybe there should be a filter in the Sub Categories but I tried the Performance and Tech section filter didn't enter anything(like what to search for just picked Gen 4- ) and All Gen 4 items came up in a search posted in the Performance and Tech section and believe that will work for any forum section.....I will let Admin respond now if he has something to add.

I forgot to add the reason the Admin checks the Suggestion Box is it relates mostly to them posting in the wrong section they don't read everything that's why they have Moderators to help them out.

Hey thanks for responding. I actually discovered the filters only after you mentioned them (I used to search the long way...by searching every post) and find the filters quite useful. I guess I have become a better searcher now but agree that things can still improve and get fine tuned.

We here on the .net are always looking to improve and it comes from Admin, Moderators and Members like you that have suggestions.
